Scotland men will play Wales in Cardiff on 24 and 25 January in the team’s first build up games for the FIH World Cup Qualifiers. Both matches will be played at Sophia Gardens at 12pm.



Marijne formally joins Indian women’s hockey team for second stint

Dutchman Sjoerd Marijne on Wednesday formally joined the Indian women’s hockey team as its chief coach, renewing his association with the squad after a fruitful four-year first stint from 2017 to 2021.

Notwithstanding the encouraging response from television and social media, the Hockey India League (HIL) top brass is concerned about the poor turnout and has requested government authorities to ensure a good attendance during the league’s final leg in Bhubaneswar.

Ranchi: Jugraj Singh scored his first hat-trick of the season to ensure a commanding 5-3 win for the Sharchi Bengal Tigers against Accord Tamil Nadu Dragons in the ongoing Hero Hockey India League 2026 (Men) on Tuesday at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Hockey Stadium in Ranchi. This was an important win for Tigers who were placed 7th in the pool table before this match started but jumped up to fourth place with this win - keeping their hopes alive in the league.
