Netherlands women fight back to deny brave Belgium



The Netherlands women fought back from a goal down to claim a battling FIH Hockey Pro League victory against Belgium, with Alyson Annan’s team making it two wins from two as nearly 5000 fans came out to watch the Olympic, World, European and Pro League champions in action for the final time in 2021 at Amstelveen’s Wagener Stadium, just outside Amsterdam.

The Netherlands fought back from a goal down to claim an important win in the women's International Hockey Federation (FIH) Hockey Pro League against Belgium at Wagener Stadium in Amsterdam.

LAHORE: Pakistan juniors stunned their senior compatriots by coming from 2-0 down to force a draw in the last of the four matches organised by the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) prior to the selection of national junior and senior squads for their respective international assignments.

No. 17 Virginia field hockey took the field in the final of the 2021 Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament against No. 8 North Carolina Sunday. The Cavaliers (12-8, 3-3 ACC), who were the fifth seed in the tournament, lost 1-0 to the third-seed Tar Heels (13-6, 4-2 ACC), who won their fifth straight ACC Championship.
