Mustapha Cassiem was as lethal as a sniper as he spearheaded a spectacular fightback by the South African men’s team to beat the more-fancied Czech Republic 8-4 at the Indoor Hockey World Cup in Pretoria on Monday night.

PRETORIA, South Africa – The No. 18 U.S. Men’s National Indoor Team put up a good fight against No. 3 Iran in their second pool match of the 2023 FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup at Heartfelt Arena in Pretoria, South. After trailing 3-0, USA came from behind to even the score, but Iran went on to score five unanswered, including three on an open net, for the 8-3 win.

PRETORIA, South Africa – The No. 12 U.S. Women’s National Indoor Team met No. 8 Austria in their second pool game of the 2023 FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup at Heartfelt Arena in Pretoria, South Africa. Austria jumped to an early lead and USA fought back to even the game, but an unlucky penalty corner goal by their opponents was the game decider as the red, white and blue fell 2-1.
