Germany: World Cup Build-Up Continues with Oranje Encounter

Test match: The classic at HTC Uhlenhorst Mülheim – Honamas meet the Netherlands



On Tuesday evening (October 18, 2022), the classic will take place in the Mülheim Waldstadion. The German men’s national team meets European champions Netherlands. The test game kicks off at 6 p.m. Admission is free. The World Cup in India starts in three months. With the endurance test, coach André Henning’s team initiates the hot preparation for the World Cup.

KUALA LUMPUR: Australia outplayed Malaysia 4-1 in an Under-21 friendly at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil today.





South African Hockey Junior Men named for Sultan of Johor Cup

South African Hockey has named the 18-member squad of the SA Hockey U21 Men for the upcoming Sultan of Johor Cup Malaysia 2022 which is scheduled to begin on 22 October in Johor Bahru. The Africans will take on Australia, Japan, India, hosts Malaysia and defending Champions Great Britain in this year’s edition which is being held after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], October 18 (ANI): Former Australian captain Mark Knowles, who has been retired for several years now, will no longer be on the team sheet at the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s Hockey World Cup Bhubaneswar-Rourkela 2023 in January. However, the former Australian skipper insisted that he will be keeping a close eye on proceedings.

Canada defeats USA on the final day and finishes ninth at the Masters World Cup

After a four year hiatus, 84 teams from 20 countries arrived in Cape Town for the ten-day 2022 Masters World Cup. This tournament was for the Men’s 45+ to 55+ age groups and Women’s 45+ to 65+.  After multiple selection camps, extensive fitness testing and six months of training, Canada sent a 50+ team across the Atlantic. Eight players returned from Barcelona (2018) and 10 were new additions.
