Tested and tried team for home World Cup

New Delhi: India announced a strong, time tested and trusted squad under the leadership of Harmanpreet Singh for the home world cup that starts from 13th Jan. Anticipated return of Akashdeep Singh, who struck a hat-trick against Australia recently, has also happened.  The Indian team grouped in pool D along with England, Spain and Wales.  India will begin their campaign on 13th January 2023 in the newly built Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela.

Dilip Tirkey: Confident Indian men’s hockey team will shine in World Cup

Being the hosts, the upcoming edition in January next year provides a great opportunity to India to finish on the podium. The World Cup will be hosted by Bhubaneswar and Rourkela from January 13 to 29.

Ireland Indoor Women’s team lost their six-game Spar Indoor Series 2-0 in Cape Town this week. It was a heartening trip for Ross Willis’ charges. He saw vast improvement in his side since these two teams met in Ireland last February – when South Africa won a five-game series 4-1.





Kenya College of Accountancy takes gold in FEAUS games

Kenya College of Accountancy (KCA) took gold in FEAUS games hockey with goal difference at play.

KCA emerged victors in the hockey category after winning two games and losing one. A five-goal difference enabled them to narrowly win the top spot against Kenyatta University and Makerere who finished in second place.
