The title contention game looks strong as we enter the 15th edition of the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup.



The 15th edition of the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup will commence on the coming January 13, with Argentina and South Africa starting it all off at the Kalinga Stadium. Entering the tournament, we have quite a lot of strong contenders who could lift it again. Belgium became only the sixth men’s team ever to win a Hockey World Cup last time out. Will we have any more new champions? Or is it going to be the big boys again? Let’s have a look.

The Indian men’s hockey team landed in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday for the upcoming World Cup which will be held from 13 to 29 January. The men’s hockey World Cup will take place in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela, Odisha.





Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 to open with star-studded ‘Celebrations’ in Barabati Stadium

Aptly titled ‘Celebrations’, the opening ceremony on January 11 will have a star-studded cast lined up for all manner of performances, songs, dances, and technology; all while incorporating the cultural aspects of Odisha.

With the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 Bhubaneswar – Rourkela set to commence on 13 January 2023, a world-class celebration of hockey to commemorate the beginning of the Hockey World Cup 2023 in Odisha will be held on 11 January 2023 in Barabati Stadium, Cuttack.
