Double delight for South Africa in Junior Africa Cup 2023



From 12-16 March 2023, the best young hockey teams, in both men’s and women’s category, from Africa competed in the Junior Africa Cup at Ismailia, Egypt for the title and two spots per gender, in the upcoming FIH Junior World Cups 2023. In the women’s competition, South Africa were crowned champions winning the finals against Zimbabwe, who also qualified for the FIH Junior Women’s World Cup Chile 2023. It was double delight for South Africa as they were the winners in the men’s competition as well, defeating hosts Egypt, with both teams securing qualification for the FIH Junior Hockey Men’s World Cup Malaysia 2023.





McLeish puts stick down after fourth Indoor World Cup

New Delhi: The 1st Hockey India Junior Men Zonal Championships 2023 continued today in the North, South, East, and West Zones with Hockey Karnataka, Hockey Association of Odisha, and Hockey Rajasthan registering big wins in their respective zones.





Day 2 Results: 1st Hockey India Junior Women Zonal Championships 2023



New Delhi:  Day 2 of the 1st Hockey India Junior Women Zonal Championships 2023 witnessed Uttar Pradesh Hockey, Hockey Haryana, and Hockey Punjab registering wins in the North Zone, while Hockey Karnataka, Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu, Telangana Hockey emerged victorious in the South Zone. Also, Hockey Mizoram, Hockey Bihar, Hockey Jharkhand and Hockey Madhya Pradesh, Hockey Rajasthan won their respective matches in the East and West Zones respectively.





EHL Hockey League Week 18 2023 Matchday Review



The England Hockey League and Vitality Women's Hockey League both witnessed action-packed weekends, featuring high-scoring matches and intense battles across the pools. Old Georgians, Holcombe, Wimbledon, and Surbiton secured their places in the Men's League Finals Weekend, while Surbiton and East Grinstead emerged as the first two teams to qualify for the Women's League Finals Weekend. An 11-goal thriller unfolded between the University of Exeter and Brooklands Manchester University, adding to the excitement and anticipation for the upcoming finals.





Browne, Marcano help Southgate to hockey promotion

T&T’s Teague Marcano, front-row left, and player/coach Kwandwane Browne, second-row, third from right celebrate with their Southgate Hockey Club after they battled back from 1-3 down to earn a 3-3 draw at lowly University of Bristol to win the English Hockey League Division One South Outdoor crown at the University of Bristol on Sunday, and with it promotion to the Premier League.

2023 Hockey Australia U21 Championships start tomorrow in Sydney



The next generation of aspiring Kookaburras and Hockeyroos will be out to display their talent when the 2023 Hockey Australia U21 Championships begin tomorrow (Wednesday 22 March) at the Sydney Olympic Park Hockey Centre.
