Coach Amin demands more from his hockey juniors in Muscat

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia may have thrashed Uzbekistan 8-1 in their opening Junior Asia Cup Group B match in Muscat on Tuesday, but coach Amin Rahim was unimpressed.





Indian Junior Men's Hockey Team confident of shining in Men's Junior Asia Cup 2023

The Indian team will open their campaign against Chinese Taipei on 24th May
 


New Delhi: Indian Junior Men's Hockey Team are all geared up for the highly anticipated Men's Junior Asia Cup 2023 in Salalah, Oman, which is set to commence from 23rd May while the Final of the tournament will be played on 1st June 2023. The tournament will not only serve as a brilliant platform for the young players in Asia to display their skills, but it will also be crucial as the top three finishers in the Men's Junior Asia Cup 2023 will qualify for the FIH Junior Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023, which is set to be played in Malaysia in December this year.





India to begin title defence against Chinese Taipei on Wednesday

India is the most successful side in the event alongside Pakistan with both countries having lifted the trophy three times each.

India will aim to qualify for this year’s World Cup when they begin the defence of their title against Chinese Taipei in the Men’s Junior Asia Cup in Salalah, Oman on Wednesday.

Future of dry turfs in hockey



The FIH Academy hosted a webinar on hockey’s move towards dry (non-irrigated) turfs, introduced by FIH President Tayyab Ikram and led by Prof. Alastair Cox, the FIH Facilities and Quality Programme Manager, on 17 May, which was attended by over 150 participants, including members of National Associations, Continental Federations, hockey turf manufacturers and other stakeholders.
