Indian Women’s Hockey Team records 2-1 victory over Ireland in 5 Nations Tournament Valencia 2023

Deepika and Sangita Kumari scored one goal each for India



Valencia, 21st December 2023: The Indian Women’s Hockey Team wrapped up their 5 Nations Tournament Valencia 2023 campaign with a 2-1 against Ireland on Thursday. Deepika (4’) and Sangita Kumari (22’) were on target for India, while Captain Kathryn Mullan (12’) scored the only goal for Ireland.





Passmore Names FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifier 2024 India Roster

RANCHI, India – Following the conclusion of a test series against New Zealand, U.S. Women’s National Team Head Coach David Passmore and coach staff have named the 18-athlete roster that will travel to Ranchi, India for the FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifier 2024 India, taking place January 13 to 19.





Paul Steps Down as Head Coach of U-21 USWNT

T&T Federation International Hockey umpire Ayanna Mc Clean of Venture Hockey Club was voted on Tuesday as the FIH Women’s Umpire of the Year as selected by the FIH Umpiring Committee.

SCHC superstar Xan de Waard and Junior FC rising talent Teresa Lima were among the big winners in the 2023 FIH Hockey Stars awards announced on Tuesday.





Savita Punia dedicates her FIH Goalkeeper of the Year Award to Indian team

Savita was the clear choice by far for the FIH Goalkeeper of the Year award. She earned 40.9 points in these votes, while her closest competitor, Germany’s Julia Sonntag, earned 22.8 points.

Savita Punia, the captain of the Indian women's hockey team, won the FIH Goalkeeper of the Year Award at the FIH Hockey Stars Awards 2023 on Tuesday. This marks her third consecutive win of the FIH Goalkeeper of the Year Award, having emerged victorious in every edition since 2021.

Life in Masters Hockey: ‘People say I’m actually nicer than I am on the pitch!’

In just five years, June Blythe went from thinking she may never play hockey again to winning the World Cup with England Masters O60s. Now, she has no plans of stopping. “When the consultant said you need a new hip, I started crying and said, ‘Will I be able to play hockey again?’” she told THP. “He didn’t get what hockey really meant to me.”
