London: The Indian Men’s and Women’s Hockey teams have four matches remaining in the FIH Hockey Pro League 2023/24. They will battle against Germany on the 1st and 8th June and against Great Britain on 2nd and 9th June in a bid to end their campaign with as many points as possible. After the Antwerp stage, the Women’s Team is placed 7th while the Men’s Team is 3rd in the points table.

Great Britain Squads named for FIH Pro League in London

Both Men’s and Women’s 24-player squads have been announced ahead of the return of the FIH Pro League in London at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre from the 1 – 12 June.



GB’s campaign resumes after a five-month hiatus from when they last played in Argentina. After eight matches at Lee Valley, GB will end their Pro League season in Amsterdam against Germany and Belgium.

SA Hockey Men Head to Poland for FIH Nations Cup Tournament

The South African Men’s Hockey team is in Gniezno, Poland, for the FIH Nations Cup Tournament, and it is feeding their Olympic dreams!

Gniezno, Poland – The South African Hockey Men’s team are currently in Poland to defend their title which was won in North West last year. Competing is also a major stepping stone for the team’s Olympic journey. They are at the FIH Hockey Men’s Nations Cup, which runs from the 31st of May 2024 to the 9th of June 2024.

For the first time in almost 30 years, Ireland successfully pulled off back-to-back victories over Belgium, doing so in comprehensive fashion on Sunday at the FIH Hockey Pro League mini-tournament in Antwerp.

Antwerp, 26th May 2024: In the final match of the Belgium leg of the FIH Hockey Pro League 2023/24, the Indian Women’s Hockey Team took on Argentina and lost 0-3. Celina Di Santo (1’), Maria Campoy (39’), and Maria Granatto (47') etched their names on the scoresheet for Argentina.

Indian women’s hockey team stayed winless in the European leg of the FIH Pro League 2023-24 season as it went down 3-0 to Argentina in Antwerp, Belgium on Sunday.



India women's hockey team's forgettable run continues with 0-3 loss to Argentina

Argentina stormed ahead in the very first minute, dissecting the Indian high press and penetrating to the shooting circle, where Di Santo deflected in Granatto’s shot to score their first goal.

The India women’s hockey team suffered a 0-3 defeat to Argentina in the Belgian leg of the FIH Pro League in Antwerp on Sunday. Their loss on Sunday was the latest setback, after India had gone down to Belgium 1-2 on Saturday. Celina Di Santo, Maria Campoy and Maria Grannatto were among the goalscorers for Argentina.



Belgium Defeats USWNT in Close Contest in FIH Hockey Pro League



ANTWERP, Belgium – In their final game of the 2023-24 FIH Hockey Pro League mini-tournament in Antwerp, Belgium, the No. 13 U.S. Women’s National Team took on hosts, No. 5 Belgium. After the United Eagles scored first, the game was decided in the opening quarter when the Red Panthers found the equalizer and then the go ahead as USA fell 1-2.



IRL Men secure historic back-to-back win against Belgium in FIH Pro League

Ireland recorded back-to-back wins over Belgium by beating them by 4 goals to 1 today, for the first time since 1993. Belgium took the lead with a deflected Antoine Kina goal in 9th minute. Ireland equalised through Ben Johnson in the 17th minute, and he got a second in the 31st minute to put Ireland 2-1 up. Jeremy Duncan touched home a Sean Murray shot for 3-1 in the 44th minute. Ben Walker converted a penalty corner in the 54th minute to make it 4-1.

Antwerp: India’s never-say-die attitude came to the fore in their match against Argentina as they won 5-4 in their fourth match of the European leg of the FIH Hockey Pro League 2023/24. For India, Araijeet Singh Hundal (7’), Gurjant Singh (18’) and Harmanpreet Singh (29’, 50’ and 52’) were on target, while for Argentina, Federico Monja (3’), Nicolas Keenan (24’), Tadeo Marucci (54’) and Lucas Martinez (57’) were on target.

Namibia Upsets South Africa to Claim Indoor Hockey Men’s African Cup



The South African Indoor Hockey Men, backed by Tops at SPAR, aimed to reaffirm their dominance in African hockey as they sought to retain their title as African Champions. Although both teams had already qualified for the Indoor World Cup in Croatia, pride was still very much at stake, creating a tense atmosphere.

Namibia’s men and women’s indoor hockey teams qualified for the 2025 Indoor World Cup after they both finished amongst the top two nations at the Africa Indoor Cup in Swakopmund over the weekend.

South African Indoor Hockey Men Secure Thrilling Victory Over Namibia at Indoor Africa Cup



The South African Indoor Hockey Men’s team faced off against the hosts in Swakopmund at the Indoor Africa Cup, aiming to top the pool stage and virtually secure a spot in the tournament final, which also serves as a qualifier for the FIH Indoor World Cup 2025 in Croatia.

Swakopmund, Namibia – SPAR South Africa and Namibia renewed their long-standing rivalry in international indoor hockey at the Indoor Africa Cup on Friday. With both teams aware that a victory would virtually assure their qualification for the final—and a spot in the FIH Indoor World Cup—the stakes were high.

Breda: After a narrow 2-2 (4-2 SO) penalty shootout victory and a 2-3 loss to Belgium over the first two matches, the Indian Junior Men’s Hockey Team took on Bredase Hockey Vereniging Push in the third game of their European tour and lost 4-5. Captain Rohit (18’), Sourabh Anand Khushwaha (24’), Ankit Pal (32’), and Arshdeep Singh (58’) got on the scoresheet for India but were unable to overturn the 5-goal deficit.

Breda: The Indian Junior Women’s and Men’s Hockey Teams lost their respective matches against the Belgian on Wednesday during their Europe tour. Both the teams lost 2-3 to their Belgian counterparts. While Binima Dhan (49', 58') scored a brace for the Indian Junior Women’s Team, Captain Rohit (44’, 57’) scored a brace for the Indian Men’s Team.

Scotland U21 women draw with Ireland before shootout win



Scotland U21 Women drew 1-1 with Ireland U21 Women in the first of three matches at the Glasgow National Hockey Centre. The resulting shootout ended up in a 4-2 victory for the Scots.

52nd Cal Cup May 24 through May 27, Memorial Day in Moorpark

The 52nd California Cup International Hockey Tournament begins on Friday morning at 7:00 with the start of competition in the Men and Women Super Divisions at Moorpark College.

The 2024 edition of one of the oldest and largest field hockey tournaments in the world, more popularly known as the Cal Cup, will include 125 teams, consisting of over 1,500 athletes competing in 12 divisions ranging from Under-8 to Men/Women Super Divisions. The super divisions will feature current and former international players from Argentina, Australia, Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, Spain and USA. Competition will take place at Moorpark College, Moorpark High School, Royal High School and Campus Canyon Park, from May 24 through May 27.

“We once again look forward to welcoming all the athletes, coaches, managers, umpires, vendors, and spectators to Cal Cup for a wonderful weekend full of great competition and fun,” said Tom Harris, tournament founder.

In addition to cash prize in super divisions, all players in the top three teams of each division will receive Gold, Silver, or Bronze medals.
