Improving SA men's hockey team looking to turn the corner against France

Cape Town - The South African men's hockey team have started showing improvement after suffering heavy defeats in their opening FIH Pro League matches in n Potchefstroom.

POTCHEFSTROOM: In the limelight for his sensational hat-trick against South Africa, young drag-flicker Jugraj Singh says his India debut at the FIH Hockey Pro League has been an emotional experience and he is ready to put in the hard yards to get better as a player.

Impressing in his first international hockey tournament, 26-year-old Jugraj Singh, scored a hat-trick against South Africa in FIH Pro Hockey League.

The Indian men's hockey team would be back home from South Africa with a memorable maiden outing of 2022. As it panned out, the men in blue who won 5-0 against France, beat South Africa 10-2 in both matches and lost 2-5 to France at the FIH Hockey Pro League.

Hockey Legend Val Robinson Passes Away Aged 80



England Hockey were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Val Robinson, one of the most prominent figures in hockey in her lifetime. She passed away in the past few days aged 80.

Valerie Robinson, regarded as one of English hockey’s greatest female players and the first ‘working class girl’ capped by her country, who was also recognised as a dual sporting talent after winning two BBC Superstars shows, has died after a long illness. She was 80.
