FIH Hockey Pro League: Season 5 to start in Argentina



The fifth season of the FIH Hockey Pro League – celebrating ‘Hockey at its Best’ – will start in December 2023 in Santiago del Estero, Argentina. Indeed, the competition dates for Season 5 – which will include seven “mini-tournaments” running from end 2023 to mid-2024 – have been confirmed today as follows:





Women's FIH Hockey Pro League 2022-23: Summary of the Mini Tournaments

Following is the summary of the fourth edition of the women's FIH Hockey Pro League 2022-23 - Mini Tournaments:

1. Estadio Mendocino de Hockey, Mendoza, Argentina, 4 - 9 November, 2022:
Participating teams: 1 Argentina 2 Belgium 3 Germany, matches 6

2. Santiago del Estero Hockey Club,  Polideportivo Provincial, Argentina, 13 - 18 December, 2022:
Participating teams: 1 Great Britain 2 Netherlands 3 Argentina, matches 6

3. Sydney Olympic Park Hockey Centre, Sydney, Australia, 10 -15 February, 2023:
Participating teams: 1 Australia 2 China 3 Germany, matches 6

4. National Hockey Stadium, Wellington, New Zealand, 18 - 26 February, 2023
Participating teams: 1 New Zealand 2 China 3 United States, matches 6

5. Tasmanian Hockey Centre, Hobart, Australia, 28 February - 5 March, 2023:

Newly-appointed Indian Men's Hockey Chief Coach Craig Fulton arrives in India

Fulton will join the team on April 29 at SAI, Bengaluru where the India National Coaching Camp is going on



New Delhi: Newly-appointed Indian Men's Hockey Team Chief Coach Craig Fulton arrived in India on Friday morning. The 48-year-old South African landed in New Delhi where he met with Hockey India officials. On Friday evening, he will fly down to Bengaluru where the ongoing National Coaching Camp is being held at Sports Authority of India (SAI), Bengaluru.





Irish Senior Cup Finals, Saturday 29th April.

The Blue Riband of domestic hockey, the Irish Women’s Senior Cup Final, takes place this Saturday April 29th at UCD. The action gets under way at 12:45.

University of Birmingham have been mainstay in Women's Premier Division

With Isca and University of Exeter securing their promotion to the Vitality Women’s Premier Division for the first time, the number of university and university-affiliated clubs in the top flight has swelled to four, whilst on the men’s side, Cardiff and Met’s promotion has ensured that the Men’s Premier Division still has two such teams despite the relegation of Brooklands MU and University of Exeter from the top flight.
