Belgium women hit 7 against New Zealand, Great Britain men go top of table with win over Spain



FIH Hockey Pro League action continued in London and Antwerp with 4 men’s and 4 women’s teams in action. Great Britain and Belgium women, who had started their home mini-tournaments with losses, gave the home crowd plenty to cheer about today. GB women survived a USA comeback to earn all three points in a 4-2 win, while the Red Panthers were on fire to dispatch New Zealand 7-0 in a near perfect performance. In the men’s matches Great Britain won a second consecutive match by a 3-0 scoreline against Spain, heading to the top of the table going 2 points clear of India. The Red Lions continued their good form winning 3-1 against New Zealand men, who continue to languish at the bottom of the men’s table.

It was a double delight for Great Britain at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre as both Women and Men registered thrilling wins in their respective FIH Pro League 2022/23 fixtures held on Sunday.

LONDON, England – It was a sold out crowd of 5,000 fans to watch the No. 15 U.S. Women’s National Team play No. 6 Great Britain in the 2022-23 FIH Hockey Pro League at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre. USA found themselves trailing 3-0 and fought hard to cut it within one, but the United Eagles’ comeback fell short as Great Britain went on to win, 4-2.

Great Britain celebrated a double victory as their men's and women's teams won their FIH Pro League fixtures.





FIH Men's Pro League -2022-23 Great Britain topped the points table

Great Britain (32) is now on the top of the points table with the two points ahead of India (30) in the FIH Men's Pro League 2022-23 and for the Great Britain three more matches to play in this season.

Nicholas Bandurak achieved the landmark

Nicholas Bandurak scored two goals and Lee Morton one goal to enabled Great Britain to get 3-0 victory against Spain in the FIH Men's Pro League at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre, London, Great Britain.

 During the course of the match Nicholas Bandurak completed his 10 individual goals of the edition 2022-23. He became the third player of the season to achieved the landmark

The Red Lions overcome New Zealand

Winners of Australia 5-4 on Saturday, this is their second straight win in a series of 8 games scheduled at the Wilrijkseplein by early July to conclude their 2022-23 Pro League campaign.

The Black Sticks women’s team crashed from the high of beating FIH Hockey Pro League leaders Argentina to a 7-0 drubbing from Belgium on a day the Black Sticks men also lost to the Olympic champion Belgians.
