GB men stumble at final hurdle, Belgium finish mini-tournament on a high
Great Britain’s men were dealt another blow in their final match of their FIH Hockey Pro League campaign, beaten 3-2 by Spain on home soil in London. The back-to-back losses meant they finished on 32 points and top of the table for now, but with Belgium, Spain and the Netherlands hot on their heels with several matches still in hand. The GB women, meanwhile, finished on a high with a 2-1 win over the USA. Over in Antwerp the night belonged to Belgium – their women’s side holding on for a 2-1 victory over New Zealand and the men winning 1-0 over the same opposition.

GB Men went down 2-3 against Spain in their last match of the FIH Pro League 2022/23 season. Still in contention for the title, they finished the season with 32 points in 16 matches.

LONDON, England – In their final game of the mini-tournament of the 2022-23 FIH Hockey Pro League at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre, the No. 15 U.S. Women’s National Team met No. 6 Great Britain for a defensive battle. Trailing 1-0 at the half, the United Eagles rallied and evened the score in the third but a late goal in the fourth gave Great Britain the 2-1 win.
