Indian Men’s Hockey Team go down 1-2 to Spain in a closely-fought game at the 100th Anniversary Spanish Hockey Federation - International Tournament

Captain Harmanpreet Singh scored the solitary goal for India



New Delhi: The Indian Men’s Hockey Team put up a fighting show in their opening game of the 100th Anniversary Spanish Hockey Federation - International Tournament but hosts Spain won the closely-fought tie 2-1 in Barcelona on Tuesday. Captain Harmanpreet Singh (59’) netted a goal for India after Pau Cunill (11’) and Joaquin Menini (33’) had put the hosts in front.  





Torneo del Centenario 2023 hockey: India lose to Spain in opener

A penalty corner from Harmanpreet Singh in the final quarter was not enough as the Indian men's hockey team lost the match 2-1 to Spain. India play the Netherlands next.

The Indian men’s hockey team went down fighting 2-1 against Spain in their opening match of the four-nation Torneo del Centenario 2023 in Terrassa, Spain on Tuesday.

EuroHockey Championship II Men – Day 3 roundup

The second game of the day in Pool A saw hosts Ireland take on Ukraine. The Irish team were wearing black armbands and observed a minute’s silence ahead of the game to mark the tragic loss of Aoife Frances Langan, loving long term partner of Luke Madeley.

New Delhi: Hockey India on Wednesday announced the 20-member Indian Junior Women’s Hockey Team that will participate in the 4 Nations Tournament from 18th to 23rd August at Dusseldorf, Germany. India will play against England, Spain, and hosts Germany in the tournament, which will be part of the team’s preparations for the all-important 2023 Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, scheduled to be played in Santiago, Chile from 29th November to 10th December 2023.
