More join crocked list as Tigers race against time for Nations Cup

PETALING JAYA: The Speedy Tigers are in a race against time in their preparation for the Nations Cup in Potchefstroom, South Africa, from Nov 28-Dec 4 as several more players joined the injury list after the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Ipoh.





Pakistan to prepare for FIH Nations Cup in Karachi

KARACHI: Pakistan will commence their preparation for next month’s FIH Hockey Men’s Nations Cup in a training camp here at the Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium on Tuesday.





Pakistan faces major embarrassment as PHF unable to send hockey team to South Africa



The Pakistan Hockey Federation is in danger of getting suspended by the FIH, as the nation is struggling to send its team for the Nation's Cup, a qualifying tournament for the Pro League. On Saturday, many former Pakistani greats appealed to the government to release funds for the same.

Men's Hockey League Week 8 2022 Review



Week 8 in the Men's hockey league saw double headers for Old Georgians and Wimbledon as parity was restored throughout the leagues.





Some reshuffling in the Premiership top six



Edinburgh University were seconds away from taking over pole position in the men’s Premiership when they led Grange 3-2, but a scrambled goal from Duncan Riddell frustrated the student`s aspirations and the contest ended in a 3-3 draw. The consequence is that Grange retain their unbeaten record and hold on to top spot while Edinburgh fall back to third.

Defending champions Blazers Hockey Club dropped two crucial points after being held to a 0-0 draw by United States International University (USIU) Spartans in a women’s Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) Premier League staged at City Park on Saturday.

Top-ranked North Carolina field hockey (19-0, 6-0) secured their spot in the NCAA semifinals with a win over No. 9 Saint Joseph’s (16-5, 7-0) with a score of 5-2.

No. 3-seed Maryland field hockey’s quarterfinal matchup with Syracuse went to a penalty shootout and all Maryland needed was a score and defensive stop to send it to the Final Four.

For the second year in a row, Northwestern is dancing into the NCAA Division I Field Hockey Final Four after defeating Iowa 4-3 in penalty shootouts Sunday.
